Seriously, having more RAM opesn the door to many more scenarios (for example a DC, a TFS box, a build server, and a dev box).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Belive it or not, I've run into issues by only having 4 GB of RAM and wanting to run a VM with 2 GB, plus the host OS, plus Word, OneNote, etc.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Because it steals a drive letter (I use a lot of external drives) and I've had it crash people's VMWare VMs accidently. :-(&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Seriously, I have come to really like it, and have a small set of U3 apps that go with me anywhere my USB stick goes, and it is great.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Why do you dislike the U3 concept so much?&lt;/p&gt;
